Dose 1.
Brain Teaser
Suppose you have four cards labeled with the letters A and D and the numerals 3 and 6. The rule of the game is that a card with a vowel on it always has an even number on the other side. Which of the cards would you have to turn over to prove this rule to be true?
What about:-
Suppose four people are drinking in a bar. One is drinking Coke. One is sixteen. One is drinking beer and one is twenty-five. Given the rule that no one under twenty-one is allowed to drink beer, which of those people's IDs do we have to check to make sure the law is being observed?
Vaccination
Took blood samples and got vaccinated against Diphtheria, Tetanus and Pertussis. Will need to go back again when the reports are out for Hepatitis B vaccination. :)
Success
Success arises our of steady accumulation of advantages: when and where you are born, what your parents did for a living, and what the circumstances of your upbringing were all make a significant difference in how well you do in the world.
Legacy
Cultural legacies are powerful forces. They have deep roots and long lives. They persist, generation after generation, virtually intact, even as the economic and social and demographic conditions that spawned them have vanished, and they play such a role in directing attitudes and behaviour that we cannot make sense of our world without them.

FYP - First Day
Went to the lab officially for the first time and met some of the lab members. Grace explained the whole project to me again. It suddenly seems so much clearer and I'm excited to start working on it.
The kits will probably be arriving next week so I've got another week of holiday :D Next Tuesday will be the first time I'm attending the lab meeting. Look forward in meeting all of them.

There was a dish written fried vegetable of the day. When we asked, the waiter said the vegetable of the day is ‘sayur-sayur’. Another waiter replied mixed vegetable. Took quite sometime before placing our orders.

Claypot Rice @ Geylang
Went for dinner with my course mates to celebrate Andrew’s birthday. They had ice-skating and bowling earlier in the afternoon but I’m just too tired from yesterday to join them.
Met them at Stadium around 6pm and head towards Aljunied to meet the rest before walking to the Claypot place. I’ve no idea how to go there again. Ha-ha I just follow
Had the famous Claypot rice with a few other dishes like lotus root duck, prawn with beancurd, pumpkin prawn, fried beancurd skin, long beans, crab and a complementary soup.
Universal Studios Singapore
It was a rather last minute decision to go there today. We just decided that the night before. Was contemplating between Science Centre or USS but decided to go to USS instead since they are currently having 20% discount.
We had our breakfast as Harbour Front Centre and took the monorail to Sentosa.
Started with Lights, Camera, Action! Hosted by Steven Spielberg at New York. It was a rather interesting special effects. We then head to Sci-Fi City. Started with Accelerator (which is something like the spinning cup in Sunway Lagoon but just more mild) to get us warmed up for the more exciting roller coaster, Battlestar Galactica. Decided to go for the Human ride, which is supposedly less intense. But after going for that, I didn’t dare to try Cylon.
Break for lunch at The Lost World, where we had spaghetti and chicken fingers.
Went for the Shrek 4-D Adventure and Donkey LIVE at Far Far Away. Very fun and entertaining. Went back to Ancient Egypt for Revenge of the Mummy. There was some attractions that we missed or didn’t dare to try
Took many many photos. Super tiring but it was really fun
Lazy Sunday afternoon
